Before I can convey my collegiate plans, I would like to share what has brought me to wanting to continue to play lacrosse as I pursue a college degree. I grew up in Hawaii and competed only in solitary sports; surfing, jiu jitsu and bmx racing. What I brought to any competition was all on me and how well I prepared for competition. At the age of 12, my family relocated to Rocky River, Ohio to give my brothers and I better educational opportunities and broader experiences. One of the first sports I tried was lacrosse and absolutely loved the game. I immediately took to the team and the responsibility I have to my teammates. You will often hear a coach say that I expect a lot from myself and also my teammates. The expectations I put on my teammates comes from a point of respect and shared common goals. I believe in them and our potential to grow as players and teammates. I am committed to doing everything I can to improve myself and our defense. This takes hard work, communication and camaraderie on and off the field with my fellow teammates.
I enjoy an atmosphere that encourages teamwork and physical fitness. I look forward to playing lacrosse as I pursue a degree in engineering. Math and science have always been my strong academic courses. I’m currently excelling in honors courses in Pre-Calculus & Physics.
