I am looking forward to working with University Lacrosse coaches to help me to achieve my goals in the future. I started playing lacrosse locally in Westmount, Quebec, when I was 7 years old. I have continued to expand my lacrosse interests through recognized good play in both Quebec and Ontario. It has been a highlight for me to play the "X" position for the U-15 Quebec Lacrosse Team, to be drafted to play in the United Lacrosse League (the best field players in Ontario) during the summers of 2019-2021, acquire box-playing lacrosse experience with the South Shore Centurions, compete for Canada United in the 2021 X-Treme All-Canada Games, and I was the only Quebec Lacrosse person to play for Evolve Elite Ontario Lacrosse for a number of years. In late July of 2023, I attended the Team Canada U-20 Development Camp in Oshawa, Ontario, as a 16-year-old to be considered for the U-19 Team Canada team. I played on one of the four U-19 teams that were created as part of the program, and I was coached by top Canadian national coaches and United States D1 coaches. I attended the U20 Team Canada Development Camp in Oshawa, Ontario, for the second time in late July of 2024. I am a diverse player as I can play Attack, Midfield, and Face-off positions. I have learned the value of hard work and the importance of working well with others if a team seeks success. Lacrosse is a great sport, and it is incredibly fun!
My academic goals are to be an honors Student with an above 80% average, and to continue to achieve a high standard at the university level. I want to complete my undergraduate degree as a student-athlete in the university. I am in grade 12 at Renfrew Collegiate Institute in Renfrew, Ontario, taking a wide range of classes both in-person and online. I have prior to my Grade 12 year completed my required 40 hours of community service in order to graduate as per Ontario education requirements. In the summer of 2023, I worked as a counsellor at a sports camp. I also played ice hockey (forward) for the Junior A- Tier 2- Bradford Bulls and Tottenham Railers in the GMHL during the 2023-2024 season. I was an affiliated player two years ago in 2022-2023 with the OJHL- Junior A- Tier 2- Markham Royals. I believe that cross-training has made me a better athlete and I hope that this will make me more appealing to a university program. As a 18 year-old, my size (6ft.1in. and 190 lbs.), skill set, speed, and diverse ability to play multiple lacrosse positions well should appeal to a university coach. I look forward to working with a program that will be a great fit for me so that I can have success at the next levels.
Thank you,
Aaron
