Michael Goegan '20 Recruiting Profile

Class of 2020, offensive player from Thunder Bay, Ontario. 

I have played box lacrosse in The Thunder Bay Lacrosse League since I was 5 years old. In 2019, I captained a bantam aged lacrosse team, since enrolment was down at the intermediate level, and league play could not occur. I scored 44 goals in 15 games and at least as many assists.

In 2018, I was the leading scorer on the Bandits Intermediate Lacrosse league achieving 19 goals and 20 assists in 14 games.  Although being a Bantam age player, I have skillfully played in the Intermediate division (up to age 21) for two years, playing alongside current college lacrosse players.

I am a true student athlete, having maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout high school in the French Immersion program, while playing many elite level sports such as AAA hockey, soccer, football, biathlon and running.  

My goal is to play lacrosse at the highest level possible and continue my development as a lacrosse player while obtaining my undergraduate degree in engineering.  I am a conscientious learner, always eager to further my knowledge.  My particular skills are my speed, endurance, agility and superior decision-making skills in a team sport.  My willingness to expand my learning would be an asset to any team and program.
