I’m am a senior at Scappoose High School, in Oregon. My HS does not have a lacrosse program so I play at Westview HS, about 30 minutes away, in Beaverton, OR. I’ve been a varsity player since my freshman year. In 2016, my junior season, I was recognized by our conference coaches and received 2nd Team All-Conference honors. I play in the Metro conference that, in 2016, finished the season with the #1, #2, #6, and #13 ranked teams in the state. I’m pretty proud of that!
I am looking for a college with a welcoming lacrosse program that has a strong team culture, and that can provide me with a great education. My goal is to have a degree in a field I am excited about. I want to be able to get a job I enjoy doing. Right now I plan on majoring in Business Administration, with Marketing possibly a minor. I’d also love to coach lacrosse someday. As I mentioned above, my HS doesn’t have a program, so I’d love to bring back my lacrosse knowledge to my HS, and the community.
I have an excellent work ethic, I listen, and I’ve been told I’m very coachable. One of my strong points for lacrosse is my IQ of the game. This IQ includes defensive AND offensive strategies, with knowledge of when and where I, and my teammates, need to be on the field. I’m quick to figure out an opponent’s offensive strategies to give my team the edge we need to win.
I have a very loving and supportive family behind me that has taught me to be the well-rounded person I am today. I feel with this background and support I can help bring success to a lacrosse program, both in the classroom and on the field.
