I have been playing lacrosse for 8 years, and all 8 years I have been playing goalie. I am very dedicated to the sport. My school started a lacrosse program 8 years ago, and in the 2014-2015 season, was our schools first year having lacrosse at the high school level. At the Junior Varsity level our team went 8-7-0. I had a 64% save percentage. The following 2015-2016 season, at the Varsity level, we went 12-5-0. I found what it was like to be on a team with no dedication or drive for the sport. I had to find it in me to work harder than anyone else on the field and to attempt to spark that fire in my teammates. I don't only play the sport to better myself, but to hep others improve to their full potential. I had seen 384 shots that season, and made 194 saves putting my percentage at 55%. Having a fairly new program in my school history finds many challenges and obstacles. I Have learned that through climbing this uphill battle, I must work much harder than others to become recognized, and I believe that from being exposed to the sport for such a short time, I do have what it takes to be a contending student athlete to play at the competitive level in college.
