Helping my high school varsity team make the playoffs in my junior year was the highlight of my high school career. It was an amazing feat since our program is only three years old and varsity only had about 15 players, so we had very few subs. I have been playing on the varsity team since I was a freshman. In my sophomore year I was a player the coaches trusted enough to transition to a new position because our team was stacked with Close Defensemen, and they needed help at the Short Stick Defensive Midfield and Long Stick Midfielder positions. I was the only player rotating sticks during games. The coach counted on me to play LSM and Close Defense in games when we were a man down or our LSM needed a breather. I feel playing all three positions has made me a stronger player. These last three years I learned the value of teamwork, commitment, sacrifice and hard work. At the end of junior year, I was proud of myself for being named to the All-League: Chestmont 2nd team as an SSDM and received the DLN All Area Boys Honorable mention. I am excited to play in my senior year and I look forward to playing for your team in college!
