I have been playing lacrosse since 5th grade. I began playing through our local recreation departments and then for our high school team. During my freshman year of high school I was eligible to try out for the JV team. I opted not to do that, instead I played once again for the recreation department. Although I really wanted to play for the high school team I knew that I needed to grow both physically and mentally as a player. One of the best decisions I've made. Sophomore year I tried out for the varsity team and was a starter as a sophomore. Our team won both Lower State and State Championships.
My goals are to play college lacrosse and eventually go on to play professionally. I feel that I would make an excellent addition to any team due to my abilities as a team player. If there is a shot to be made individually I will take it but if I see a much better option for my fellow teammates than myself I don't hesitate to help make that play happen. Team play is what lacrosse is all about.
What makes me different is my attitude. I am not overly confident, arrogant or selfish in playing lacrosse or in day to day life. I am a devoted athlete both on and off the field. I love helping younger player to develop skills that others helped me develop. Academically I am very well rounded and although academics are most important I have many other interests in my life. I participate in our church youth group, I run my own car detailing business, but most importantly I spend quality time with my family and friends.
