I was first interested in lacrosse 5 years ago as an off season training sport for hockey, but after the first year I fell in love with the game. I began playing varsity lacrosse as a seventh grader and became fearless. I grew as a player and a person, when in seventh, eighth, and freshman year our varsity team lost in the semi finals of our league tournament. My sophomore year our varsity team made it to the championship game for the first time in team history. In the future I hope to win the league championship, receive a 4.0 GPA the rest of high school and pursue a career in medicine.
I will persevere through everything: As a freshman on January 13 2018, I broke my right humerus in a hockey game. On January 15 I had surgery, after the surgery I learned that I had radial nerve damage from the break and surgery. Leading to an ongoing path to recovery. In the 2018 lacrosse season I learned to use both my right and left handedness, for my right wrist was incapable of properly cradling, and numbness from my forearm to hand. Today I nearly have 100% cradling and wrist extension, but still numbness on the topside of my right hand. I will give your program everything I can.
