Hello, my name is Cooper Ferris, I’m a junior at McLean High School in McLean, Virginia and I play attack and midfield in lacrosse. Academics and sports are important to me, and in my Sophomore year my GPA was 3.4 (unweighted). I’m also in the process of preparing for the SAT and ACT. Athletically, I made varsity lacrosse as a sophomore although our season was cut short, but I started at attack in our only 2 games that season. I play box lacrosse in the summer and fall, and made the Virginia Elite Lacrosse A Travel team in 2019, and the NOVASelect A Travel team in 2020. I spend 5-6 days a week in the gym and run 2-3 times a week on top of lacrosse. I ran a 4.7 second 40yard dash (hand timed), I bench 255lbs, squat 365lbs and deadlift 415lbs. Other than lacrosse this summer, I was a lifeguard at our local pool. For six years, I trained in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, competed regularly in submission-only and traditional competitions, was the youngest student to be moved into the adult class at thirteen years old and also helped teach the 5 - 7 year old students in the dojo.
