I want to attend a college where I can get a degree in sports marketing in hopes of becoming a media specialist. I want to follow in my mother's footsteps in that I will never give up on my dreams and goals no matter how long it takes. My mother is a single mom of three and has sacrificed so much so that my siblings and I can have everything we need and accomplish our goals and dreams; I want to return the favor by going to college and doing everything I can to proof to her that her sacrifices were worth something to me. I have worked since I turned 15 to be able to help my mom out all while I maintain a high gpa and hard academic workload and sports. What makes me different from other recruits is that I do not believe that I should be given something. I believe in the value of hard work and what you put in is what you get out. All recruits say the same hard work, perseverance and determination makes them stand out but I think my sometimes difficult upbringing is what makes me be who I am. My upbringing has brought forth challenges that my family and I have faced and conquered. I believe that I would make a great candidate for a team because I believe in the value of a gift. Playing a sport I love and getting an education at the same time is a gift and one I intend on working hard to maintain just like I did to get it. If you are looking for a student-athlete who is determined, well-rounded and responsible I am that student.
