I started playing Lacrosse at age 12 and fell in love with the sport. Ever since, I have been fully devoted to bettering myself and have become skilled in stick skills, ground balls, and accurate shots (including a fast, accurate over-hand shot). I currently play midfield, first line, on the Handley HS Varsity Lacrosse Team in Northern Virginia.
Playing lacrosse at the collegiate level is an ambition of mine and this is what drives me to work harder through every practice, both with the team and when I am on my own. However, although this is a goal of mine, it is not the only reason I play the sport. I truly love playing the sport and I feel personal pride and accomplishment when I achieve personal goals and improve my skills.
Team success is of the utmost importance to me. I feel that it is integral to team success to be a positive role model both on and off the field and I understand that the success of the team is the number one goal on the field. I enjoy contributing to my team now and look forward to what I can offer a team in the future.
In addition, I am looking for a lacrosse program that will place an importance on academic excellence as well as a reputable sports program. I am a motivated student and am anticipating attending a college that has a strong academic environment. The perfect school for me will be one in which I am "pushed" to improve and learn both in the classroom and on the lacrosse field.
