Hi. I'm Matthew. I ranked up to Eagle Scout the month after my 16th birthday. This was a life goal met after many years of work and lots of support from my troop, mentors, and my family. I began rowing in the Spring of 2018. Under the guidance of good coaches and lots of work, I was awarded Most Improved in the Fall 2019. Coach Coy doesn't give awards just to give awards, so I was honored by this. I enjoy rowing and being on the water. I am in the AF JROTC at my school and would like to serve our military. My dream job is to design drones and advance that technology. I want to run my own business one day. I have dyslexia and went to a special school, Greengate, for my 7th and 8th grade years to help me learn how to learn with this condition. Greengate was the recipient of my Eagle project. I have not had an IEP in high school and am proud of my grades. I work hard to do my best. My greatest strengths are determination and being a leader. Thank you for considering me for scholarships.
