I started rowing when I was 13 years old and it has been my passion to row in college ever since. Rowing in college for me symbolizes the pinnacle of one's achievement as you are able to continue a sport that you love as an ambassador for your school. Rowing is my passion and training to become a better rower is a daily routine. I am on the water 5-6 days a week and erg the rest of the time either at home or with my club. I am committed to a healthy lifestyle of proper nutrition and good habits which further bolsters my committment to rowing.
In terms of leadership off the water, I have served on the California Yacht Club Junior Bridge for several years. The Junior Bridge is an official club leadership position to serve the objectives of the junior sailors and rowers at California Yacht Club and to serve as a liaison to the senior bridge leadership for California Yacht Club. I currently serve as the Junior Rear Commodore. I previously served as the Junior Race Team Captain in 2015, Junior Port Captain in 2016, and Junior Fleet Captain in 2017.
I participate in various charitable endeavors. In particular, I frequently volunteer to make sandwiches and deliver them to the homeless on skid row in downtown Los Angeles.
