I currently row for San Diego Rowing Club, an improving and competitive club, as a Junior. I have a deep passion for rowing and in my journey to improve and succeed in both training and racing. Everyday I enjoy coming down to practice to work hard and be surrounded by teammates who share the same ideas of determination and dedication for rowing.
As the team captain of San Diego Rowing Club, I lead my teammates by example, both on and off the water. I strive to encourage and push others to pursue their rowing goals and build their character while enjoying the work we do everyday.
I have been diligent at practice, even finding time outside of practice to lift weights or steady state. In the 2022-2023 rowing season, I have dropped 30 seconds from my 2k, to a 6:39.0. I will continue improving.
I currently attend Torrey Pines High School, one of the best public schools in California. I am enrolled in many academically challenging classes which include 6 APs and several Honors. I take great care into completing my work on time, completing my work with care, and earning the highest grade possible.
I want to attend a college where I can maintain and build upon my passion of learning in the classroom and rowing on the water. Moreover, it is a goal of mine to continue rowing into college where I'm looking into being a lightweight. In the meantime, I'm training hard!
