The idea of doing my part to work so hard to go beyond what I even thought I was capable of giving to my teammates, drives me to always give my best. It was at the Salisbury School, CT where I discovered this love for rowing. Much of what has influenced my approach to sports and life in general has been the dedication and work ethic of my parents. My mom is a first grade teacher, much admired by students and parents and my dad is a former professional soccer player and Ivy League coach who has consistently emphasized hard work and family. I have learned to work hard towards becoming a significant contributor to the success of my team while at the same time having some fun and building lifelong relationships. For example, I'm very proud to have been chosen by my teammates as uprising captain of my fall varisty soccer team. I have decided to focus on academics and rowing in the next chapter of my life. I want to continue to contribute as an integral team member at the next level, to work on continuous personal improvement and to thoroughly experience and enjoy everything about college life. I am excited to see where this can take me and hope to land in the right program for me achieve my goals. Thank you for considering me.
