Michael Colavecchio '23 Recruiting Profile

I currently row for Norwalk River Rowing Association. I can row both port and starboard (starboard preferred), and can scull. Ever since I stepped in a boat for the first time, I fell in love with the sport. Rowing in college has been something I have dreamt of since that moment and I understand that collegiate rowing is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

I strive to be one of the hardest working recruits you’ll find, both in and out of the classroom. I study hard and maintain a high GPA whilst challenging myself with honors and AP courses. 

As a team captain, I do my best to be a motivating leader who pushes everyone closer to their full potential. I lead by example and am a very coachable athlete. I try and encourage my teammates every practice, race, and competition.

I understand that collegiate recruitment is highly selective and competitive and am prepared to do my very best throughout the process.
