Joseph Watts '26 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coaches I'm Joseph Watts. I'm 16 year olds, I've lived all across the U.S. from california, wisconsin, maryland, to now florida. My rowing journey began in 8th grade with OARS, but I truly found my passion for coxing at the start of my freshman year. I am now well into my second semester as a junior year and well into my third year as a coxswain, with over two years of dedicated experience. My father is a 100% disabled veteran and with that I qaulify for the yellow ribbon program which your school may offer.

I have now just raced at the FSRA Sweep States Championship placing 5th in the Junior 8+ with our 3v. Now moving with Southeast Regionals just two weeks away my focus remains on developing my skills and preparing for the next level, as well as perfoming on the race course. My goal is to join a competitive college rowing program while pursuing a degree in Cyber Security, or Computer Science. Rowing has taught me discipline, teamwork, and resilience, and I’m excited about the opportunity to contribute to a college team that shares my drive for excellence both in the classroom and on the water.
