I row for Willem III on the river Amstel in Amsterdam. I train seven days a week and row port, starboard and have experience sculling. Rowing is an important part of my life. I like the feeling of being fit and I thrive on competing with others. My coaches tell me that I am very coachable and that my strongest assets in rowing are my technique and my sense of rhythm.
Since I started rowing, my school results have improved as a result of the discipline I learned in rowing. At school my best subjects are physics, math and chemistry. I also do English, Dutch, ancient Greek, biology and drums in music. As an extra course, I study for CPE (Cambridge English Proficiency Exam).
I want to a university or a college where I can study psychology or economics and pursue my passion of rowing. I am open to all options and want to find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible.
