Quad Rowing (2 Seat)Personal Statement
While I am not the tallest rower in my crew, I have rightly earned the nickname of the "Pocket Rocket" within my team. I have worked extremely hard on the water, in the gym and on the erg to achieve what I have to date.
While Covid lockdowns and learning from home have had an impact on my studies over the last two years, rowing was my saving grace and provided guidance and clarity for the the road ahead. I have a solid academic foundation, and have completed a final Year 12 subject early in year 11, with a GPA so far of 3.43. I look forward to good results for the final year of high school.
I am keen to continue with rowing as I head into the next stage of my learning at University. I am hoping to undertake a Computing degree, with a major in Cyber Security, as I see this as the next frontier and essential in maintaining a stable society in a digital world.
I love to laugh, maintain good friendships and the comradery that rowing offers.
As The O'Donovan Brothers once said you need to "Pull Like A Dog". And I intend to continue to do just that.
