George Rutledge '19 Recruiting Profile

My name is George Rutledge; I am an 18-year-old, 6th-year coxswain from Christchurch New Zealand. I go to school at St Andrew's College in Christchurch, New Zealand and have attended the school nearly my whole life. I am 175cm (5 foot 9 inches) tall and weigh 57kg (125lbs). I have been coxing since I was 12 years old and have just finished my 6th season within the St Andrew's College Rowing program where I was the captain. My greatest achievement within the sport of rowing has been coming 2nd overall at the 2017 New Zealand Secondary Schools Regatta (Maadi Cup) in the Boys Under 16 4+. I was awarded the Simon Briggs Cup (most successful coxswain at the regatta) by Rowing New Zealand at the 2019 Maadi Cup.
