Personal Statement
My name is Harry Kelly, and I am currently a member of the Saint Ignatius Schoolboy 1st 8 rowing team, entering my fourth year of senior rowing. I come from a rural background in Crookwell, NSW, where my family operates a sheep, Cattle and horse stud. Growing up with a rural family made me realise the importance of Discipline and a proper work ethic.
Rowing has been a passion of mine for many years, and I am committed to pursuing it at the collegiate level. My ultimate goal is to not only continue developing as an athlete but to contribute to a team that thrives both on and off the water. I take pride in my work ethic and my ability to push through challenges, whether that’s in training or academics.
My resilience, ability to stay grounded under pressure and determination to improve are what sets me apart. I am eager to bring these traits, along with my rowing skills, to your team and to contribute in any way I can. I am confident that my athletic commitment and academic focus will make me a valuable asset to your program.
