Personal Statement
No matter what sports, the first thing a person feels initially is forcing oneself physically and psychologically and discovering that he has the ability to do so. I first tested my interest in sports with basketball and handball. But I had an idol about sports: My father. I met this sport upon my father's request and advice for that he was an old rower. In 2013, I started rowing in Fenerbahce Sports Club. Three years later, I joined the national team.
You have the ability to the sports. But everything starts with loving and owning it. And it continues with not giving up on it. I have encountered many difficulties in my life and I will be encountering, but I believe that I can overcome all with the sports that I do and what it has brought me. Overcoming. The desire to succeed. It always excites me to achieve an extremely difficult goals. If you want something, you have to paddle to the end.
The rowing like other sports is also not easy. A brach that wants attention, wants patience and wants strength. There is a fine bond between paddle and coordination. Coordination is the movement of the hand, foot and body in a synchronized way. We achieve the balance in the boat and the fact that the team is a single body with long and hard trainings. In this high performance sport, I learned to practice physical and psychological power, to make sacrifices. And as a result, I've seen that I've done better each time.
I aimed to realize what I think when I was forced to sacrifice my school while doing this sport. I want to be in an environment where I can successfully do what I do successfully without giving up and can achieve school performance. Now I am in a period I have started working to create my university life, athletic and academic future. I hope that I will be paddling in line towards my dreams and goals, and I will reach my championship.
