I started rowing almost two years ago with a couple of my friends and since then I’ve absolutely fallen in love with the sport. I’m not too happy with my erging times right now, but I’m very dedicated to improving them and train very consistently.
On top of rowing, I’m dedicated to school and have a cumulative GPA of 3.8 (4.0 weighted GPA). I play bass and violin in my school’s orchestra and am a witness on the mock trial team. My team recently placed 8th in state and I got an award for outstanding witness. We hope to improve and win state by senior year.
I’m very good with time management and would be able to manage rigorous practices along with college classes and work. Right now, I have rowing practice at 6 in the morning, then tennis practice after school until 6. This only gives me a couple hours in the day to get homework done and practice my instruments.
I’m still only a sophomore in high school so I’m not too certain about my field of study yet. But, I think I’d like to go into pre-law with the hopes of being an attorney.
