I started rowing almost 5 years ago, during my 8th-grade year in middle school. Immediately I loved the precision, synchronization and beauty that rowing displays. Ever since then, I have been a very competitive athlete and love everything about rowing. I practice 5 days a week and erg every day. I am a little bit more developed on port side than starboard, but I am an experienced skuller as well.
I picture my college as a time to grow and further my skills in rowing and my field of study. My goal is to pursue a major in filmmaking and video production, which should help set me up for a career in the film industry. On the water, I plan to be a very dynamic and competitive athlete and have a positive influence on the team. Throughout my time as a college athlete, I want to grow my technique and performance to be an asset to the team and its members. More importantly, I will perform with respect and honor, whether that be in or out of the boat. I do this because I understand that reflecting my team and the school I attend is the backbone of who I am and who I represent.
