I hope to continue my academic and athletic career at a university that fits my needs both with school and rowing. In college, I hope to train at a very high level to become competitive yet close to all my teammates. I would be a good candidate for a team because I am a very curious and dedicated athlete. I always want to learn more about the sport to make my rowing better. Also, I am always trying to bond my team together to help everyone be very close friends on top of the competitive nature that rowing brings during boat selection and race times. Specifically, I have been able to do this since becoming a team captain, which has allowed me to help change the program for the better. I am dedicated to volunteering and coaching for my team. I recently was asked to become a head coach of our middle school and learn to row teams. At school, I am one of 5 people in my grade who are active in the PLTW Engineering course through the University of Dayton and I enjoy learning about the subject. I also am the only student who is involved in Computer Science with my local community college. Overall, I would love to attend a competitive university for both academics and athletics, and think that I would be a great candidate for a team.
