2021 Highlights Personal Statement
I am an only child who comes from a background of individual sports like swimming and tennis. I never experienced the team mentality until my freshmen year of high school when I took a chance with rowing. Ever since I joined I haven’t been able to get enough of being on the water with 8 other people in a boat. The brotherhood that I experienced in my rowing team has been like no other sport I have ever done. The sound that I love more than the fan of an erg is the sound of my teammates yelling and cheering on their fellow rowers. I hope to continue with rowing into my college years and aspire to drop my personal record times for my 2k and 5k.
