My overall goal as a rower is to pursue the highest level of competitiveness that I can push my body to. I credit rowing for helping me overcome mental illness (severe depression) after the loss of my father and for teaching me that nothing in life is free. In terms of academics, I struggled my first 2 years of high school due in part to COVID and to undiagnosed ADHD, which I now have under control. I am now making honor roll as well on track to being a certified EMT. In short, I know what it’s like to work as hard as I can to achieve my goals even when it seems impossible.
