I am a class 2023 athlete and am proud to say I've been a starting player for our high varsity soccer team since 8th grade. I have played other sports, but in 2019, I decided to focus on soccer. It energizes me to see myself improve and learn new strategies. I'm open to new ideas and I listen to my coach's feedback. I want to be part of the process, not just part of the outcome.
I have been to multiple soccer camps over the past 3 years, and I've learned something from every one of them. My primary position is defender but have played attacking midfielder on my high school team. I was told by a college coach at an Exact Sports Training Camp that I am an aggressive player with good footwork and positioning. He also said that I have a good understanding of defensive schemes and I was able to handle the challenges I faced.
Starting out as an unofficial leader of my high school team, I've gone on to be captain multiple times over the years. I put the success of the team before individual success. Players look to me for advice and encouragement.
This is my third and final season of club soccer with River City United Soccer Club (Decatur, AL). We are currently ranked second in our division (18U). We will participate the Alabama Soccer Association State Championship in November 2022. We finished first in our in our division (17U) at the end of the 2021 club season. Also, we were finalists in the Alabama Soccer Association State Championship (16U).
I’m looking for a university where I can earn a quality education while participating in their soccer program. I want to learn, compete and grow on and off the field.
