Soccer has always been a major part of my life. I began to play soccer at the age of three at an indoor sports complex called Arena Sports in Redmond, WA. There I learned the fundementals of soccer and began to work on my technique. I would later go on to join my grade school soccer team which went undefeated the 3 years I played on the team. At the age of 8, I began to play club soccer for a team in Seattle, Washington called Crossfire FC and from there, I went on to play for East Side FC and later moved to AZ and played for Sereno North 99 Boys White. I wanted to take the next step in soccer because it is my true passion, so I decided to join the Real Salt Lake Academy as a commuter. My family puts in two and a half hours of driving four times a week in order to get me to my practices and back home, which is a real sacrifice that they are making. My family and I are committed to the sport, and I like to show that commitment every time I step onto the field wether it's at practice or in a game.
My goal is to reach the highest level of soccer and become the best that I can be by helping my team win. I am a good candidate for any team because I will always put in my full effort in order to help my team achieve success. In every game and practice, I strive towards putting out a great performance that consistently gets better every time.
Something that separates me from other recruits is the level of commitment that I have for soccer. I make a very long trip straight from school and don't return to my home until 8:30 p.m. in order to get to practices. I do this because I love the sport, I want to receive the best training possible, and so I can become better everytime I step onto the field. I also find academics to be very important. I am currently attending Brophy College Preparatory, a private catholic school, which is a very difficult school to be accepted to due to their high standards. I challenge myself academically by taking very difficult classes, and my GPA shows the success that I have had in them. It was a very difficult decision to choose Brophy over Grande Sports Academy's residential program due to my love for soccer but I also see the importance of a great education which will last my lifetime.
All and all, I am a very committed student athlete that is very passionate for soccer and want to reach the highest level possible, and I plan on doing this by getting better at the game every time I step onto the field or just having a ball at my feet. That same dedication will follow me to the classroom everyday of the school year as well.
