Tanay Medam '25 Recruiting Profile

I am a highly motivated student and athlete, who is unafraid to take risks, has a mind of his own and thrives under pressure. From an early age, I discovered my passion for soccer, and since then, I have devoted countless hours to honing my skills, pushing my limits, and striving for excellence both on and off the field. Furthermore, my involvement in community service and extracurricular activities has broadened my perspective and enriched my character. 

I have joined Barça Residency Academy in Arizona for the school year 2023-2025 attending ASU Preparatory Academy Casa Grande, having been the starting goalkeeper for Barca Academy U17/U19 MLS, USL, UPSL, FC Bay Area MLS U16 academy and attended Cupertino High School as a member of the Class of 2025. I was the starting goalkeeper for the Cupertino High School varsity team through my freshman and sophomore years. 

I believe that I can achieve anything with focus, drive, and hard work. I embrace setbacks as motivation so that when I do fail, I learn from it quickly, work diligently to gain an understanding of what went wrong and what I could have done better, seek advice from my coaches and teammates, and never quit. As a goalkeeper, I am passionate in protecting the goal, coordinating, and helping the defense through effective communication and building the attacks by distributing the ball, when needed. Having been coached by former professional players has also given me a clear vision of what it takes to play at the highest level, and I’m willing to do what it takes to get there.

I am excited about the opportunity to join top level college divisions, where I can continue to grow as an athlete and as an individual. I am eager to work with top-tier coaches, compete at the highest level, and contribute to the success of your team. I am confident that my skills, work ethic, and determination will enable me to thrive in your program and make a meaningful impact.
