In sports, especially soccer, I see a purposeful and powerful vocation spread throughout my life and my future. From spending the first eleven years of my life growing up in Southwest London, the devotion and pure enjoyment I have and feel towards football was there from the very start. Ever since playing for my small local team in England, to moving five thousand miles away to California, the ambition to continue playing the sport I love at the highest level I possibly could, stuck with me. From working my way up through Laguna United's age groups, all the way up to earning a starting spot on the UPSL team, playing against adults, week in, week out, to making and then captaining my High School Varsity team in my second year, after just one year on JV ; playing at the highest possible level has always been my number one focus. The next challenge, for me, is College soccer at the Division One or Two level. My attitude, presence, decision making, and work rate on the pitch, during both training, and games sets me apart from everyone else. Going one-hundred and ten percent in every training session and game takes a toll on the body and mind, and balancing it with school is a challenge for everyone. However, my consistent A's and B's in my report cards along with a perfect record shows that I have found the right balance between soccer and education. I have also enjoyed many opportunities to spread the love of the game in my local community, including helping to coach the younger generation at Laguna United Summer Camps. This also spreads to my two younger brothers who share the same work ethic and passion I have for the sport and I’m proud that I have instilled that in them. Being a team player and a leader has always pushed me to inspire others whether they are teammates, friends, or people who look up to me. I've learned that although things on and off the pitch may not always go your way, its how you react to and manage those tough situations that develops you as a person and a player. Having been a life-long Everton supporter I'm certainly used to challenging situations! My passion and extremely high work ethic both on and off the field, will spread throughout whatever school I go to and I know will stay with me my whole life.
To conclude, I want nothing more than to play the sport I love, at the highest level I can. This has been the driving factor throughout my life and will continue to be as I embark on my college career.
