Gilbert Valenzuela '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Gilbert Valenzuela and I am a senior at Brawley Union High School. I am highly serious about pursuing my soccer career at an increased level after high school and I’m reaching out to you, for the reason that I am very interested in playing for your team. I’m 17 years old, I measure 6'0 and I weigh 175 pounds. I have 8 years of prior experience playing soccer and I am extremely passionate for the sport. These years of playing have allowed me to gain plenty of knowledge, not only the knowledge of how to succeed in the game but also to be conscious that I can continuously enhance my skills and improve as an individual player as well as with my team. I believe I have great leadership skill and ability, as I was appointed captain of my high school varsity team not only to lead but also to push and help my teammates. I strive to teach through my actions  and by setting a great example, not simply just by saying words. I’m aiming to play soccer at a California University or College, with the intention of staying close to home, but I am open to going anywhere that is looking for an exceptional player who respects and honors the game. The purpose of this letter is to ask for your consideration in recruiting me to be apart of your team. I would be honored to take part and collaborate with a team that can teach me new skills and that I could impact not only with my prowess in soccer but also my teamwork, sportsmanship and leadership.
