My name is Quentin A. Gonzalez, and I am a freshman at North Monterey County High School, located in Castroville, California. I will be graduating in 2025, and even though I'm still not exactly sure of what college or university I would like to attend, I know I want to continue my education after high school. As far as a major, I'm also indecisive; however, criminal justice, and/or psychology are two majors I find very interesting.
I have been playing soccer since the age of 4, and haven't stopped playing ever since, that's if we don't count the two years of Stay Home Orders, however, during that time my uncle, another soccer fan, would come over everyday and we would do drills, play or simply practice. When California reopened and we were in the clear to return back to school and play sports, I was back on the team. Something happened during the pandemic though, you see, I knew I missed playing soccer, being back on the team and playing with my team mates, I missed all of it, However, when I never realized how much I missed it. I found myself wanting to do better at every practice and every game. I started looking up videos on how to become a better soccer player, and not just any soccer player, I wanted to practice on how to be better at my position. After doing my homework I practice everyday, either with my team or by myself. On the weekends, if I don't have a game I go to the park and practice, either with my friends or by myself. I have found soccer to be my passion and because of it, it has made me a better person.
I have been struggling a bit with school but because I have this new found passion I have signed up for tutoring to help me get to where I want to go.
I am very hardworking, reliable, and determined to pursue my passion. I am a team player and I am open to criticism, anything that will help me make me a better player and an even better student, because without my education I will not get as far as I would like to get.
