Personal Statement

Hey,

"Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence wins championships." - Michael Jordan

As I've played several different positions, I consider myself a very creative player all around the field.  I feel I am especially crucial on the left side of the field when I am in my fullback position. I am left-foot dominant, which can be a huge advantage!  I've had the opportunity to play for many different clubs in San Diego and learn different styles of play.  I have now played for Nomads Academy in San Diego for the last four years. We were a DA team until 2020, then things changed and we are now the MLS Next team for our club.  We compete with the best of the best and currently are in first place in our league.  I truly believe in team mentality and strive to push our team always forward. Some of my favorite things are watching our game film, traveling with my team, and learning about new places.  I believe when our team learns together, we are stronger together.  I always have a positive attitude in getting better and better day in and day out. Every day is a new experience for me , and I am excited for new challenges that push me out of my comfort zone.  When I'm not training with my team, I train on my own.  My goal is to have a strong mind and a strong body so I can do all I want to do.  Soccer has always been a part of my life and I want it to always be. I cannot imaging not playing.  My goal is to play soccer in college and beyond.  Playing soccer keeps my head clear, my body strong, and I know it will help me excel in college.  My oldest sister is a biologist, my middle sister wants to get her BS in Psycholgy, and I too am interested in Science. I want to help protect our planet and get a degree in Environmental Science or Marine Biology.  My thinking?: I can protect the planet and play soccer while I'm doing it.
