Dylan Marin '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coaches! My Name is Dylan Marin and soccer has been my passion since I was 3 years old.  Since the day I started you couldn't take me off the field. I have played many positions over the years, however my strengths lie in defensive positions. My current primary position is center back. Over the years I have developed many skills, but the two skills I value the most is being extremely vocal on the field and being a leader on and off the field.  For example, I take command of my back line and orchestrate my teams flow throughout the game. I am my currently my club teams captain, and I have been for the past 2 seasons plus the seasons to come. I value the trust and respect my coaches and teammates have shown in choosing me as the teams captain. I am always there to keep the intensity level high, push the team to get better, raise spirits, as well as being present to motivate and guide our team to victories. Through many of life's trials and tribulations I have persevered in all that I have faced. This has driven me to not only excel in the sport I have devoted my life to, but in school as well.  I've carried a full load of  Honors and AP classes while maintaining a high GPA and always making it to practices ready to work hard.  My dedication to the sport helped me learn how to manage my time with school and my extra curricular activities.  I currently have over 580+ hours of volunteer work during my time in high school and over 100+ hours during middle school. Not only was I involved with Soccer, I also played Football since I was 5 years old, Baseball since I was 3, Swim since I was 3 years old, and basketball for a couple of seasons as well.  I am proud to say that I am now focused solely on soccer. I achieved the accomplishment of making the Varsity team as a Freshman at a Division 1 high school. With each accomplishment, I set heights for new challenges. I will continue to move forward with the same passion that has brought me here today and each step moving forward. I hope to pursue my soccer career at the collegiate level while studying either engineering or business.
