Jonathan Carrillo '20 Recruiting Profile

As a child I often accompanied my father to his job as a construction worker and spent hours watching him work. When I was older, I sometimes set up displays, waited on customers, and even balanced the books. This experience instilled in me the desire to own and manage my own business someday, yet I understand that the business world today is more complex.

          I’ve been playing club soccer for over ten years now but one of the biggest moments that I look back to is 2018-2019 high school season. We went undefeated in league and we made it to the “CIF Division 1 Championship” and “CIF State Finals”. I have learned a lot from this high school season being a starter and playing every game. I look forward to using the leadership tool that I learned this past year with the upcoming varsity players. I hope to be champions next year and not finalists to do that we will need to work hard on and off the pitch, Showing that we deserve to win the championship. 

          I would like to further my education and athletic ability in college. Furthering my education will make me and my family happy. Going to college will give me a chance to accomplish my dreams. Playing college soccer will be a dream come true because it will give me an opportunity to keep playing the sport I love in an environment that’s helping me further my education. I have taken the SAT and ACT with a score of 1000 and I will be taking it again as soon as possible. As an experienced player I know I can live up to the expectations in your college team.
