Gavin Lane '24 Recruiting Profile

I have been passionate about soccer ever since I first played the sport when I was 6 years old. I am a highly coachable team player that is adaptable with a strong vision and understanding of the game. I am focused on playing at the highest level and use my size and speed to my advantage so I can play as tactical as possible. I play center back for Murrieta Soccer Academy- Elite Academy/MLS Next teams. I  was recently honored to be named one of the top 11 Elite Academy League players for my age group in the Southwest (one of 5 Elite Academy regions in the US) after attending an invite only ID camp. In previous years I have played outside back for my club team. I have played Varsity soccer at my high school since my Freshman year. I am currently co-captain for that team as well. I played the defensive midfielder position, forward and center back in high school, being as versatile as needed on the pitch. I focus on being a leader for my team both on and off the field no matter where I am. I am also highly focused on my academics. I am a scholar athlete taking honors, college and AP classes. I look forward to committing to a college for both my soccer and academic goals.
