Sean Blaney '20 Recruiting Profile

I have run cross-country and track, played basketball, and snow skied a lot, but the sport I have always had a passion for is soccer. Since I was young, I have always had a passion for both playing and watching the sport. Sometimes, when I need to take a quick break from studying, I start dribbling and juggling the ball around the house, and it helps me regain my focus. I have always had a competitive nature and pushed myself in order to improve and compete. I am ready to move to the next level, and I hope to continue to compete and improve as a player. I am interested in going to a college where I can combine strong academics with a strong soccer program. I perform very well in math and sciences, but, at this time, my interest lies in eventually pursuing either a legal or business career. Currently, I am in the Marin School of the Arts program at Novato High School, where I was accepted into the Creative Writing program after interviews and submitting a portfolio of my writings. I believe that this writing program will benefit me tremendously someday in either the legal or business field.  I believe that I have the drive and determination to succeed at a collegiate level, both academically and athletically in soccer.
