Sergio Rodriguez '20 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Sergio Rodriguez, I am currently a senior attending El Rancho High School. I dream of play college soccer but have always been told my heigh would make it difficult. This has motivated me everyday to work hard than the rest, thus making me play harder than the rest. My positions being a winger on either side of the pitch as I am very versatile and can use both my feet. I am a player than will never give up on a game regardless of the score, I encourage my team to step it up their maximum effort in order to win. Every challenge I put myself through is to benefit my family. Being a first generation child to have been given the opportunity to apply to college of such prestige has placed a lot of pressure on me, I do not shy away from this, I take this as an opportunity to become the best version of my self to succeed and become an adequate role model for my two younger brothers. Everyday I’m eager to become the best athlete and student possible. I spend countless hours, sacrificing nights to make sure my work for my IB classes has been completed. My tenacity to see my self succeed is very strong, I despise to see myself come short of anything I know I can overcome. My goals are to succeed in terms of graduating college I will do my best at anything and everything I set my mind to no matter the cost.
