Liam Verhoeven '21 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coaches.  

I'd like to introduce myself to you.  My name is Liam Verhoeven.  I am here to let you know I am prepared to bring my best game to the academic and soccer challenges that lie ahead.  My character is unquestionable.  I will always give you my best.  I am the oldest of 4 brothers.  As such, I must take on unique roles in my family.  I am always challenged by my younger brothers athletically but at the same time, I am a mentor and role model.  I take on increased family responsibilities with my littlest brothers and must lead by example, watch them while my parents work, and also be my mom's right-hand man while my dad works long shifts as a fireman.   

The time I love the most is my time on the soccer field.  It is all my own and I give it everything I've got.  I have had to work hard to make the NPL teams that I have been on for several years.  As an outside back, my coach has always expected me to play both offense and defense.  This is challenging, but he knows he can count on me.  He also calls upon me to fill in many other positions on the field because he trusts I will come through for the team.  I understand the commitment it takes to improve and be successful and it will be no different as a college student-athlete.  I am ready for the challenge and hope you will give me the opportunity to prove it.
