As the starting left back for LA Breakers ECNL 04/05 team, and now the starting CDM/CB for the new ECNL 05/06 team, I am a versatile player who is impactful as a midfielder or defender. I started playing soccer relatively late at the age of 9 on the “D Team” in my hometown. Through my pursuit of 10,000 hours, I went from the worst team in my town to playing for top clubs in my area. In the summer of 2022, I was fortunate enough to have an incredible development experience training and playing with the Manchester City Academy “Select” with an open invitation to return. So while it was extremely challenging, I am grateful for my late start because it forced me to become the person and player I am today. I am a dedicated teammate who will give everything for the shirt, and I am eager to find a college environment where I can continue my soccer development and push me to become the leader I know I can be.
As for school, I take my academics seriously with a 3.8 GPA (unweighted 4.0 scale) and enjoy surrounding myself with people who also love to learn. My soccer experiences have piqued my interest in psychology, particularly sports psychology. In order to learn more about the area, I am currently an intern for renowned sports psychologist Marc Sagal of Winning Mind who has worked with elite soccer teams, players and managers, including Red Bull Salzberg, Liverpool, Sven Goran Erikson, Leicester City and the England national team. In my downtime, which isn’t much these days, I enjoy diving deep into books on psychology and philosophy and playing chess. Although interests can change, I currently intend to pursue a degree in psychology and a minor in business/entrepreneurship.
My ultimate dream is to attend a college where I can be challenged academically and athletically. I am excited to make meaningful, positive contributions to the college community and develop life-long friendships, connections and memories. If you only end up learning one thing about me from the above, it’s that I am determined and will succeed, no matter what obstacles come my way. I look forward to finding my college match for my next chapter!
