My name is Miguel Aguirre. I am currently a senior at Woodland High School. I have been playing soccer for about 9 years now. My aspirations are to one day play professional soccer. A few things that make me a good candidate for any team are my discipline, determination, work ethic, and a team player.
First I am a disciplined player that plays a clean game. I always look for ways to win without losing character or integrity.I always look for feedback from my coaches to see what I can do better to improve my game. I do very well at following directions and instructions from my coaches and teammates as well.Soccer is a team sport and coaches are part of the team so it is important to listen and get feedback whenever possible.
I know there are many players around the country that also have aspirations to become professional soccer players. What separates me from them is my determination and work ethic. This means that I am willing to work as hard as I need to in order to meet my goals .Whenever my teams don't hold practices I am still out on the field working on something, trying to get better. I am determined to do whatever it takes and work as hard as it takes in order for me to live my dream.
Lastly, I am a team player. Like I mentioned before soccer is a team sport. I show I am a team player by doing things simply as making sure that the ball is passed around enough and creating scoring opportunities for my teammates. I also show I am a team player by switching positions or doing whatever is necessary if it will benefit the team. I understand that there will be times that my teammates or I, will not have our best game so it is important that we pick each other up and move forward.
