I've loved playing the beautiful game since I was introduced to the sport. As a player, I've seen improvement to my soccer IQ, athleticism, and technical ability with every season and I am committed to continue on this trend in the coming years. As a player, I've traveled the country and the world to play soccer and I believe that this international experience warrants a lot of merit for me as a player. I got to play soccer with players from all around the world in the Flamengo football club facility and in the spring of 2019, I played with Kaptiva football club, a team based in Barcelona, Spain over the course of their season. I believe that I've added a lot of skills to my repertoire through these international experiences and I've gotten a lot of versatility to my game because of it. In my career as a high school player, I've made my varsity team every single year and had an important role in each of these varsity teams. My junior season was the best high school season I've had so far, with me producing 4 goals and 5 assists from both attacking and defensive midfield. Something else that I feel separates me from a lot of players is my ability to play every position on the field well (besides goalkeeper I suppose). Throughout my high school and club careers, I've played my fair share of midfield, winger, center back, and striker, and by playing these different positions, I feel like I have more knowledge about the game and am able to cover for players that go out of position to attack. Aside from this, I have a high work ethic, both with soccer and in school. I've maintained a 4.0 GPA in my time at Poudre IB school while in the IB pathway, which has proven to be a rigorous challenge so far. I also commit myself to working on my touch and my fitness multiple times a week during the off season to stay in good shape. My club coach from a few seasons ago was required to do evaluations for players on the team as a part of the United States Developmental Academy program and he gave me a perfect score for my on -field communication; I was one of two players to receive a perfect score in any one category. I have a deep desire to play soccer for as long as I can and I feel like I have the mindset and ability to do this at a top collegiate level, so hopefully I will be able to do this in the near future.
