Philip Pedler '18 Recruiting Profile

I would never have thought that soccer would affect my life like it has. It has opened my eyes to places and people I would have never come across without this beautiful game. My life revolves around soccer, every spare second I'm watching soccer in some type of way. Either a live a game or highlights of some of my favorite players such as Sergio Ramos, Puyol, and Kevin De Bruyne. I have always been a leader on the pitch since I was a little boy and maybe that's what pulled me into the position of CB today. Center Back may be where I play regularly but I am one of the most versatile players you will ever come across, my size and speed allow me to win balls in the air and put in tackles allowing for me to be an elite defender but I am also a player that loves to have the ball at my feet which allows me to depict the tempo of the game giving me the ability to be a class midfielder. And as you can see in my highlight video I have the capabilities to finish the ball from anywhere in the attacking third, from freekicks to longshots. My goals for my soccer career are to become a professional, I truly believe I have the potential to be a massive impact for any team I play for out of college even as a freshman.
