Robert Vanegas '13 Recruiting Profile

I have played soccer as long as I can remember.  Before I could play recreational soccer, I was kicking the ball around in the backyard.  I started when I was 4 playing recreational soccer and continued onto competative and now high school.  I really look forward to continuing onward and playing in college.  A dream I've always had is to play professionally. 
I have been fortunate enough not to have had any injuries through out my years playing soccer.  I'm currently 5'9" and weigh 150 lbs.  My 40 time is 4.67.  My speed is one of my best qualities as well as my technical footwork.  Being and outside midfielder requires good vision, passing and being able to cross the ball.  These skills enabled me to lead the 5A Continental League in assists this 2011 season with 8 and receive 2011 1st team all league.  
Not only do I pride myself in working on my game but also help my teammates improve their skills and game as well.  When I go out on the field I feel that my energy helps lift the team in a positive way.   My goal right now is to finish out high school with great accomplishments and go onto college and get an education. I'd like to repay my parents for everything that they have done for me and make them proud for all the sacrifices they have made to see that I get these opportunities.
