Diego Berumen '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Diego Berumen and I'm a 2022 Defender. I started playing soccer at the age of 4 with the goal to someday play at a high level college. My parents emphasized that if I wanted to work towards that goal I would have to work hard and never give up. Thanks to this advice I have been able to play at many levels throughout my soccer career, such as ODP, DA and even MLS Next. Thankfully I have been able to learn a lot and gather tons of experience from playing against top academies in the country and participating in several playoffs. With these experiences I have learned the importance of teamwork and work ethic, especially at the highest level. The experiences didn't only translate to the soccer pitch, they also had an impact academically. Throughout high school I have maintained a 4.0 GPA or higher and want to major in Aerospace Engineering. I also have experience playing high school soccer at Wheat Ridge HS where I'm one of the captains for our Varsity team. Lastly, I'm looking to find a good fit for college, both academically and athletically, and will do my best to fulfill my role on any team I play for.
