I'm Adam Branco. I'm 17 years old, and I am a Senior at Naugatuck High School. I carry a 3.95 GPA as well as being Class President in my Junior year. I've been an All-League Scholar Athlete during every sports season in high school, thus far. In addition, I am a member of the class of 2014's top 5% as well as a member of both the National Honor Society and the Spanish National Society. This year New England Soccer Journal named me one of the "Players to Watch" in Connecticut. The Waterbury Republican Newspaper named me athlete of the week for September 30, 2013 following a 3 game week where I finished with 7 goals and 2 assists. I've been a varsity starter for the school soccer team since the first game Freshman year for Coach Art Nunes.. This past season I was selected to the All-State (Class LL) team as well as Senior Captain for next season. As of September 27, 2013 I've scored 64 goals and recorded 23 assists. I finished the senior season with a school record 33 goals and 7 assists, breaking former Monmouth All-American Ryan Kinne's career scoring record, with a total of 84 goals. We finished the regular season 16-0, going 3-0 in the league tournament to win our first league title since 2009. I was named the league's Top Senior, Class L All-State, and All-New England, as well as the Waterbury Republican Athlete of the Month for October. During the spring of 2013 I represented Connecticut on the state ODP squad, as well as playing for FC Ponte out of Waterbury, CT for Coach Joe Mancini . I'm also a 3-year member of the school Varsity Swimming & Diving team. In addition, I'm a CCD teacher at my church and a volunteer at the town Portuguese Club's yearly festival. This past Summer and Fall I attended the Harvard, Yale, Williams, Cornell, UConn, and Springfield camps.
My style of play is extremely athletic and rugid, dominate in the air with a great deal of intensity and an exceptional motor. On the field I would most resemble that of Wayne Rooney. I officially committed to study and play soccer at Stonehill College mid-October, and am extremely excited for next Fall.
