My name is Jack Kingdon and my goal is to play college soccer while also benefiting from a solid education at a competitive university. I will be attending Bridgton Academy in Maine for a PG year in the Fall of 2015 then pursue a college/university for entry in Fall 2016. I have been playing soccer since I was 5 years old. I started on my town's team then at 8 years old started to play on a club team. I played on my middle school soccer team and on my high school team. I am in my senior year and will graduate in Spring 2015. As a freshman I was on varsity then sophomore, junior and senior years I was a starter on varsity. My senior year I was the captain. Freshman year I scored 1 goal and 3 assists. Sophomore year I scored 7 goals and 6 assists. Junior year I scored 31 goals and 8 assists. Senior year I scored 29 goals and 5 assists. Junior and senior years I was awarded the honors of All New England, 1st Team All-State, All League and the #1 player in the league. I hold the high school record for the most goals scored in a single season (31). I was interviewed by a sports reporter from the Waterbury Republican and also made their weekly honor roll many times. I started on club teams with AC Caldo then Inter United FC coached by Fil Lima then Ponte FC coached by Joe Mancini which is now Southbury FC. I have attended 5-day Soccer Extreme camps and also the 5-day Ray Reid Soccer Camps at UCONN. In the winter 2013/2014 I attended camps at Franklin Pierce University and Southern New Hampshire University. I also run on my high school's track team (the 400 and the 4X400 relay) and was awarded All League freshman year for my part in the 4X400 relay. I received an unofficial split time in the 4X400 relay of 50.7 seconds as a junior. I am an avid downhill skier in the winter months.
I respect my coaches and teammates, listen well and play hard. I am very coachable and take every opportunity to enhance my skills. I am currently working with a trainer on strength and conditioning.
I have volunteered my time to my church, a fundraiser to assist a local family and to other sport events at my high school. I also volunteered the summer going into my sophomore year at Waterbury Hospital in Waterbury, CT. In the Spring of 2014 I was an Assistant Coach to a U14 town travel team. It was a great experience. In the summer of 2014 going into my senior year of high school I worked for a mason and landscaper.
