The sport of soccer has been a major part of my life for thirteen years. It is a love I share with my sister, father, and close friends, as we have spent hours watching and playing the sport together. I appreciate the camaraderie with my teammates, as well as the guidance, mentorship, and coaching from all my coaches. Recently, soccer has had a more essential bearing upon my life. Soccer saved me when I was at my lowest. During quarantine, my fitness level and overall appreciation of life was poor. After being sidelined due to an injury for three months, I worked hard to get fit for the sport that I love, and for my own goals and aspirations. Over the past year, I lost forty pounds and my level and intensity of play has greatly improved. I am looking forward to continuing along this journey of soccer.
