Personal Statement

My name is Anthony Dagher, I am a technical left footed attacking midfielder who likes to put defenders on their heels and create goal scoring opportunities. Typically a floating central midfielder, I am able to assess in real time what is needed to be successful and throughout the flow of play find solutions in order to give my team a competitive advantage. My goal is to attend a University that has a stellar athletic and academic reputation.

  • To whom it may concern, My name is Mike Dalakis. I am a Canadian National A Licensed Coach currently coaching in Richmond Hill, Ontario in the Ontario Player Development League. Anthony Dagher has been one of my key players and top performers over the many years I have had the privilege of having him as a member of my High- Performance Soccer Teams. Anthony is a great young man with a wonderful attitude. Gifted with a great touch and vision, Anthony has excelled in my program and as a youth player here in Ontario. Tactically, Anthony has a high soccer IQ and solid understanding of all four moments of the game. Although Anthony is known as an attacking player, he is also a tenacious defender and quick to transition. Anthony has very good spatial awareness and works hard to maintain team shape during the various moments of the game. Based on the biometric data we have collected on Anthony over the years, Anthony has always met team expectations with respect to anaerobic and aerobic fitness levels. Anthony has a strong field presence and is surprisingly strong on the ball. Socially and emotionally, Anthony is a true team player that stays positive and supports his teammates even when things are not going well on the field. Anthony shows coaching staff and team officials the utmost respect and makes it a point to help staff and teammates at practices, gym sessions and team meetings. Psychologically, Anthony is a focussed player with a can-do attitude. Anthony is always prepared to step in wherever he is needed which is a reflection of his ability to absorb coaching information even when it is not directly related to his preferred position. Anthony has always been one of my favorite youth players based on what he brings to the team and the game on and off the field. I am sure a player like Anthony Dagher will be a valuable addition to any Team offering him an opportunity. Sincerely, Mike Dalakis
